On December 19th I was asking God questions about slavery, and why Africans went through all of the horrors they did. Then I asked another question: if Africans that were slaves were Chosen people like the Israelite's, since both went through slavery (and Africans were treated worse, raped and hung ex.). Then the word "Chosen" was said in commerical clip for a movie I was watching. I Expected God to answer me about it.. but I did not Expect to hear that! Time passed after hearing the word "Chosen". I became quite busy and didn't come back to it. Then it was February 6th and the Holy Spirit let me see in a video a scripture, Genesis 15:13. Here is the scripture, and then I will tell you what the Holy Spirit is saying about Africans who were enslaved (we are now African-Americans), and parallels with the children of Israel:
"And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;" #1 Thy seed. God's covenant with Abram, found in Genesis 17 mentions that "thou shalt be a father of many nations" (4). Furthermore, "5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee. 6 And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. 7 And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee." So Africans are included in that covenant. Like the song: "father Abraham has many sons, and many sons have father Abraham. I am one of them and so are you. So let's all praise the Lord"! So thy seed extends past the children of Israel. Many nations. #2 Stranger in a strange land that is not theirs. Africans were blessed and had wealth in their homeland. The first Africans were brought to the English colonies in Virginia in August of 1619. The children of Israel were already in Egypt for a long time and were prospering through the favor on Joseph under the old Pharaoh, until "there arose up a new king over Egypt, which knew not Joseph" (Exodus 1:8). Africans and the children of Israel were both strangers in a strange land that was not theirs.. and of course we, as Africans (African-Americans) are still in the same strange land that is not ours. #3 And shall serve them. Africans endured many horrors during slavery for a shorter time period than the 400 years the children of Israel endured. But both served, the Africans served the slave masters and were also watched and abused by the overseers. The children of Israel, were watched and abused by taskmasters as it says in Exodus 1:11 "Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens". Africans helped to build America. The children of Israel "..built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses" (also verse 11). Among the many things they did, Africans worked in cotton fields, and were whipped, beaten terribly, hung, raped, so much. In Exodus 1:14 it says what the Egyptians did to the children of Israel "And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour". #4 And they shall afflict them for 400 years. Africans were here in North America as slaves from 1619 to 1860, which is 241 years. We have been here as African-Americans since this past year, for 400 years. We have continued after slavery to be afflicted, from the KKK (which is still active today), Jim Crow laws, all that endured the civil rights movement, to now more police brutality and racism in our law enforcement and judicial system. Even recent news of rallies being held by racist groups, and nooses displayed, and terrible racially charged crimes by whites against blacks that have happened present day. Even though the many of us that are still here have experienced injustices, affliction.. God has still BLESSED our people beyond measure. We have been elevated to great positions. We have made history. We have Wealth and great Blessings. We have the Keys to Be as Great as God Blesses us to be. The children of Israel endured the 400 years as God also said would happen to Abram's seed. Then, it was Moses who God chose to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt into the Promised Land of Canaan. The land flowing with milk and honey. Exodus 3:17 "And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey". Because of all of the SIN that has happened in America, because of all of the injustices, because of going against God's Word, because of Blasphemy, because of those who have done Evil, because of the genocide and placement in reservations of Native Americans, because of all of the Horrors that everyone from the slave masters, to the overseers, to everyone who participated in the enslavement of Africans has done, to the KKK, to the police with dogs and water hoses, to the racist groups and departments.. America is Definitely going to be JUDGED by God. Revelation 18. Many, as have I, have had a Word from the Lord that Judgment is coming to America soon. It is interesting that just last year the African American History Commission Act was signed into law on January 8th. It marks the 400 years we have been here. All of this is Prophetic. God did not want Africans to be enslaved, to be raped, to be abused, to be mistreated. He did not tell the Colonists to go get Africans and bring them to North America. God did not tell the Egyptians to enslave the children of Israel. God did not want the children of Israel to be enslaved, and experience the rigour they did. He did not want the mistreatment's and killings that have happened up to present day. What has happened, even for many of the things in this world today.. has to do with Sin. In the Garden of Eden is where Sin came into play. There has been free will. There has been Evil. Evil will do what Evil does.. be Evil. In the midst of it ALL, God has always been there. For slavery here, an example, there was the underground railroad. There were many who played a part in helping slaves. There were many in the Civil Rights Movement. There are many who help today to fight against injustices. And in Revelation we see all the events that WILL play out, in God's timing. There will be a new heaven and a new earth. The new Promise is New Jerusalem. Revelation 21:12-23. Revelation 22:1-3. Revelation 17. Ephesians 2:7. We are all the seed of Abram, Abraham, the father of many nations. But remember that you must be born again! Live for Jesus, give your life to Christ today! It's MORE in store for you than being Rewarded. With new life in Him, there is Peace, Joy, Perfect Love, so much, He is Definitely the Ultimate Best Friend! :-)
